Becoming A Member
Legion membership offers a wealth of opportunities:
Comradeship. Build relationships and share experiences with like-minded people in one of our regional or national branches.
Governance and representation. Vote on the issues we champion to support our Armed Forces community and shape the future of the Legion.
Volunteering. Whether it’s fundraising, helping out at Remembrance events or getting involved with our welfare support – membership offers a variety of volunteering opportunities.
By becoming a member from just £17 a year, you will also receive:
- An annual membership card
- Access to purchase members-only products from the Poppy Shop
- Regular communications including the Legion Magazine and e-newsletters
To become a club member, click here to go to the branch page and sign up as a branch member.
Once you receive your card through the post, please bring into the club, hand to a member of staff at the bar along with your £1 club membership fee, which we will then process and when your card is returned to you it will have a stamped on the back to authorise club membership.

If you are between 12 and 18 years old and interested in the work of the Legion, why not join us as a youth member?
As well as showing your support for the Armed Forces community, you can take part in parades as youth standard bearers, join a Legion band or become a majorette.
Youth membership is free to join until you reach the age of 18 (after which point full membership fees will apply).

If you are already a member of an organisation like the Guides, Scouts or one of the Cadet organisations you can affiliate the whole group to your local Royal British Legion branch.
